Sheep are an integral part of Mallorcan agriculture. They control the weeds of olive, almond, and fruit groves, fertilize the ground, and their light but sturdy feet keep the topsoil firm, controling erosion without compacting the deeper soil layers. They are valued for their meat, but their wool, though of good quality, is often not used.

Our wool project tries to revive Mallorcan wool as a high quality material that can be used for a varity of products, from shoes to hats. Natural wool is high in lanolin, a natural oil that has many positive health effects.
